Zip.ca Reviews - Introduction

Zip.ca is an online DVD & Blu-Ray rental service operating since 2004. Essentially, it allows members to rent Movies, T.V. Shows, and Sitcoms, choosing from over 720, 000 Titles. All rentals are sent to you using Canada Post. You return the rentals at your leisure (there are no late fees). A Pre-paid envelope is sent to you with your rental for easy return.

Zip.ca Reviews - Functionality

The steps are really simple. You log on to Zip.ca and you browse/search through their database of movies. The titles are organized alphabetically, chronologically, and by genre. You can even search by cast member. If you see a title that you like, you can add it to your "ZIP LIST". In a matter of a few hours, they will sent out the first title on your list. If the first title that you have on your ZIP list is not currently available, they will send out the next title in your list. If you are renting a series, they will always send them in order (you will never get Part 2 before Part 1 of your favorite TV show).

The number of Rentals that you can have out at the same time depends on your plan. In 2-3 days, you will receive your selections in the mail, along with the prepaid envelope (Your first shipment is through Express Mail, so it will delivered usually within 24 hours). You can take as long as you like to return the DVD, once your finished watching it, you simply put it into the self stamped envelope that is sent to you by Zip.ca

Zip.ca has 72000 + Titles including hard to find foreign titles and classics. It also has all the latest T.V. hit new releases including sitcoms, Drama Series, award winning documentaries and short films. Zip.ca has the largest selection in the industry.

About the Free Trial

The free trial is available for first time members only. As a free trial member, you have access to all DVDs available in the Zip library for two weeks. If you choose to continue with Zip, then your monthly membership will continue after the two weeks depending on the monthy plan you choose. If for some reason you are unhappy after the two week trial you cancel the membership before getting charged.

If you decide to join Zip.ca movies, there are numerous plans you can choose from. We usually let our consumers decide but in our opinion we found the $24.95 plan to offer the best value for the money.

Zip.ca - Customer Service

Zip.ca has an automated system to handle complaints or issues that may arise. For example, if a DVD is lost in the mail, you fill out a form that will take you a couple of minutes to complete with information such as where you dropped off the DVD, and the date. Usually within one or two business days, the DVD is marked as returned. Your are never held responsible for DVDs that are lost. There is also a customer service number so that you can speak with a customer service rep during business hours.
